HMI Programming

Saber Controls engineers have a history of providing the kind of control screens the customer wants in RSView, Wonderware, or Intellution.

Control Screens

Some people like to operate with screens that look like control panel faces (see the following two screens). This type of control screen offers a very condensed view of the process. The status of multiple pieces of equipment and PID loops can be displayed on one screen, making it less necessary to flip back and forth between screens.

Graphic Screens

Some people like to operate from screens that are graphical representations of the plant (see the following two screens). An advantage to this type of screen is that operators who are unfamiliar with the equipment often find it easier to get started. These types of screens also provide an easy way to facilitate Hand-Off-Auto control of devices and to show status of inputs.

At Saber Controls, we do both of the above types of screens, whether it is on a simple HMI terminal or on a PC running HMI software.

Parameter Screens

Saber Controls listens to the customer to provide the operating parameters that you need. Our parameter screens can be password protected to make sure only authorized people can change them. Unauthorized people can view the parameters, but not change them. See the following two screens for examples.

Alarm Screens

On both simple HMI terminals and on PCs running HMI software, alarms are recorded. This can be priceless information when equipment has failed, and you must know exactly when and why.

Trends

On PCs running HMI software, process variables like temperatures, pressures, flow rates, etc.; PID setpoints; and control variables like pump speeds, valve positions, etc. are recorded for trends.

Reports

Saber Controls engineers have much experience bringing reports to the customers the way that they want them. We will work with you to give you a report that you want, not a pre-packaged report that may or may not help you very much.

We can export your reports to Access, Excel, or even Internet Explorer to enable you to look at them and print them from other computers without being forced to buy another HMI software license.
